Square Dancing

Benny and I went off one Friday evening to the institute building to square dance.When we arrived Ben stepped on a bug with his cowboy boots. :(  Square dancing is so much fun! We danced for two hours straight. We learned everything from line dancing to the original box square dancing. I even learned my left from my right. This guy was a professional square dance caller ( Scott Smith ) . He was good. Yehaw. He had us going right hand in hand in a circle and left hand in hand, then right again. He even had this funny chicken saying. But me and Ben cant remember it for the life of us. He just said it so good. It was like chicken to the ..i don't even know. The best part is the promenade hands in square dancing you both grab right hands together on top and then left hands together on bottom. Ben and I could never get that move right. Once in a while we did. I think my favorite dance move was the swing. Ben would get confused at what we were doing and one time i just yelled at him Swing me. Ahhh so great <3 So before the dance, i bought this cowboy kit at the dollar store. It had a gun, badge ( that said the most random thing like masked man) , spurs, and bullets. It was grand. So there was this one dance were you switch partners and dance with a ton of different people. So i did, and it was great. I met lots of people. Anyways, so i went back to find Ben and he was talking to this girl he was just dancing with and i took the gun out of my boot and held it up to her and said " get away from my man" she was soooo startled! Best thing ever. Ben kept shooting people. These people walked into the dance, and he just shot them and was like welcome to the dance. The whole way driving to the dance we were shooting people also. This whole dance experience was great, I'm glad i finally got to go on a date with my best friend Ben! ( even the blisters from the boots were worth it ) ! After the dance we escaped and went to Menchies. Ben doesn't know the difference between frozen yogurt. It's ridiculous. But it was still lots of fun. Ben saw a mouse, so we made a new friend. People gave us the weirdest looks for being dressed up like " cow people " and taking pictures out side of Menchies. It was the best thing ever.  Ben was in the parking lot and we were walking like cowfolks. He had his hands on his belt, and he was like this is just how gangsters walk. so he untucked his shirt and was walking with his pants sagged and so he was a gangster cowboy. i yelled "pull your pants up elder" and Ben said " i just wanted to show you" oh so great. ( He thinks he won't be able to go on a mission, if i post this on the blog but he will ) :) Than we drove all the way home and discovered we had the same taste in music. Than we showed Chuck are dance moves, talked and called it a night. A fun square dancing night. Were official hicks.  Ben advice for the night: ( we were taking pictures and he said act like a cowgirl, and i kept putting to thumbs up, and he went too shoot me and i did it ) " If you ever get shot at do not give them a thumbs up " 




OH but how could i forget the best part! Ben and I won BESSED DRESSED COUPLE!!!!! ( that was are whole goal) So now on Tuesday we get to go on a date to Texas Road House, then Ben said he would take me to the movies. But YUM! 

Ben tells me i cant shoot him, but yet he shoots me.
